About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, commercially driven and highly organised Cluster Sales & Events Manager to lead sales, private dining, group bookings and events across a growing collection of four London hospitality venues.
The portfolio currently includes Prince Arthur in Belgravia and AVI Bistrot, alongside two exciting new restaurant openings currently in development.
Each venue has its own identity, audience, style of service and event offering. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding the individual commercial potential of each site and developing tailored sales strategies rather than applying one standard approach across the portfolio.
This is a hands-on role covering proactive sales, inbound enquiry management, private dining, corporate bookings, celebrations, weddings, brand events, Christmas parties and full or partial venue hire.
You will be responsible for generating new business, converting enquiries, building long-term client relationships and ensuring every event is handed over clearly and accurately to the operational teams.
You will work closely with the founders, senior management, general managers, chefs, the Cluster Marketing Manager and venue teams to grow event revenue while maintaining a high standard of guest experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesCluster Sales Strategy
- Develop and manage the overall sales and events strategy across the cluster.
- Create individual sales plans for each venue based on its concept, capacity, location and target audience.
- Identify opportunities to grow private dining, group bookings, corporate events and venue hire revenue.
- Set clear monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Build a structured sales pipeline and maintain accurate forecasting.
- Develop strategies around key commercial periods, including Christmas, summer parties, weddings and corporate entertaining.
- Review the sales potential of each venue and recommend suitable packages, minimum spends and pricing structures.
- Ensure sales activity reflects the distinct identity and strengths of each venue.
- Take full ownership of the sales process from initial enquiry through to confirmation, deposit and operational handover.
Proactive Business Development
- Proactively identify and approach potential corporate, agency and private clients.
- Build relationships with local businesses, offices, hotels, concierge teams, event agencies, wedding planners and luxury brands.
- Develop a strong network of repeat bookers and referral partners.
- Conduct regular outreach through email, telephone, LinkedIn, networking and venue visits.
- Arrange and host site tours, tastings and client meetings.
- Build tailored proposals for corporate events, celebrations, private dining and venue hire.
- Identify new partnership opportunities that generate relevant sales leads.
- Represent the collection at networking events, trade shows and industry events where appropriate.
- Maintain regular contact with previous clients and lapsed bookers.
- Develop strategies to increase repeat business and client retention.
Enquiry Management and Conversion
- Manage inbound event, private dining and group booking enquiries across all venues.
- Respond to enquiries promptly, professionally and in the correct tone for each brand.
- Qualify enquiries by understanding the client’s requirements, budget, timings and expectations.
- Recommend the most appropriate venue, space, package or menu.
- Prepare tailored proposals, quotations and event agreements.
- Follow up consistently and professionally to maximise conversion.
- Negotiate within agreed commercial parameters.
- Secure deposits, signed agreements and final confirmations.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, conversion rates and lost business.
- Ensure all booking details, client correspondence and payment information are recorded correctly.
Private Dining and Events
- Sell and coordinate private dining, group bookings, celebrations and venue hire.
- Develop event packages for birthdays, weddings, engagement parties, corporate dinners, launches and other occasions.
- Work with chefs and operations teams to create suitable menus, drinks packages and guest experiences.
- Ensure packages are commercially viable and competitively positioned.
- Create bespoke proposals for high-value or complex enquiries.
- Advise clients on menus, drinks, room layouts, timings, entertainment and additional requirements.
- Coordinate tastings, menu selections and final planning meetings.
- Ensure all event details are agreed clearly in advance.
- Manage client expectations throughout the planning process.
- Attend selected high-value events to support delivery and client relationships where required.
Corporate Sales
- Develop a targeted corporate sales strategy for each venue.
- Build relationships with offices and businesses in Belgravia, Knightsbridge, Chelsea and surrounding London areas.
- Promote private dining, business lunches, team dinners, networking events and company celebrations.
- Develop corporate rate agreements, preferred supplier relationships and repeat booking programmes where appropriate.
- Create a structured corporate database and outreach calendar.
- Identify businesses with regular hospitality and entertaining requirements.
- Build relationships with executive assistants, office managers, people teams and event organisers.
- Track corporate account activity and identify opportunities for growth.
Christmas and Seasonal Sales
- Lead Christmas sales activity across the cluster.
- Develop Christmas packages in collaboration with chefs, operations and marketing.
- Build and maintain a Christmas sales pipeline from early in the year.
- Target previous clients, corporate bookers and relevant local businesses.
- Manage Christmas enquiries, proposals, deposits and contracts.
- Produce regular Christmas sales updates and forecasts.
- Ensure seasonal campaigns are launched and followed up at the appropriate time.
- Support additional seasonal opportunities, including Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Easter, summer parties and New Year’s Eve.
Weddings and Celebrations
- Develop wedding and celebration business across suitable venues.
- Build relationships with wedding planners, venues, photographers and relevant suppliers.
- Create wedding packages, brochures and proposal templates.
- Manage wedding enquiries from initial contact through to confirmation and handover.
- Conduct site visits and planning meetings.
- Coordinate menus, drinks, timings, room layouts and supplier access.
- Ensure all contractual, payment and operational details are confirmed.
- Deliver a personal and professional client experience throughout the planning process.
New Restaurant Openings
- Support the commercial launch of two new restaurant openings.
- Develop pre-opening sales strategies for private dining, corporate bookings and events.
- Identify target clients and local businesses ahead of each opening.
- Build corporate and local databases.
- Create opening packages, event menus and sales collateral.
- Conduct pre-opening outreach and arrange launch site visits.
- Work with the Cluster Marketing Manager on launch campaigns and lead-generation activity.
- Build a pipeline of enquiries and confirmed bookings ahead of opening.
- Develop relationships with local hotels, concierges, offices and event agencies.
- Ensure each new venue has a clear sales proposition that reflects its own identity and facilities.
Venue Identity and Positioning
- Understand the individual character, audience and strengths of each venue.
- Tailor sales proposals and client communication to the relevant brand.
- Avoid presenting the venues as interchangeable.
- Clearly communicate what makes each restaurant or event space distinctive.
- Match enquiries to the venue that best suits the client’s requirements.
- Work with marketing to ensure event messaging and collateral accurately represent each venue.
- Provide feedback on customer demand, market perception and sales opportunities.
- Help develop packages that feel authentic to each venue’s concept and guest experience.
Operational Handover and Event Delivery
- Prepare detailed event function sheets and operational handover documents.
- Ensure menus, timings, room layouts, guest numbers, payments and special requirements are clearly communicated.
- Hold regular event meetings with general managers, chefs and relevant venue teams.
- Confirm final guest numbers and event details within agreed deadlines.
- Ensure dietary requirements and accessibility needs are accurately recorded.
- Monitor deposits, payment schedules and final balances.
- Coordinate external suppliers, entertainment and production requirements where applicable.
- Support operational teams with complex or high-value events.
- Follow up with clients after events and resolve any issues professionally.
- Gather feedback, testimonials and repeat booking opportunities.
Client Relationship Management
- Build strong, long-term relationships with corporate and private clients.
- Deliver a professional and responsive client experience.
- Maintain regular communication throughout the enquiry and planning process.
- Develop structured follow-up activity after each event.
- Encourage repeat bookings and referrals.
- Maintain accurate client records and preferences.
- Identify VIP clients and high-value accounts.
- Ensure any complaints or concerns are handled promptly and escalated appropriately.
- Act as a professional ambassador for the collection.
Collaboration with Marketing
- Work closely with the Cluster Marketing Manager to develop event and sales campaigns.
- Provide insight into customer demand, enquiry trends and commercial opportunities.
- Support the creation of event brochures, packages, landing pages and email campaigns.
- Ensure all sales collateral is accurate and up to date.
- Provide clear briefs for campaigns designed to generate event enquiries.
- Follow up on leads generated through marketing activity.
- Share client feedback to improve messaging and packages.
- Coordinate seasonal sales and marketing calendars.
Revenue, Pricing and Commercial Performance
- Take ownership of event and private dining revenue targets.
- Monitor enquiry levels, conversion rates, average booking values and lost business.
- Recommend minimum spends, deposits and package pricing.
- Ensure agreed commercial terms are applied consistently.
- Identify upselling opportunities across food, drinks, entertainment and additional services.
- Work with operations and finance to ensure bookings remain profitable.
- Review booking performance by venue, event type and lead source.
- Provide recommendations to improve revenue and conversion.
- Balance commercial objectives with the quality of the guest experience.
Reporting and Forecasting
- Produce weekly and monthly sales reports for the founders and senior management.
- Report on enquiries, conversions, confirmed revenue, lost business and pipeline value.
- Maintain accurate forecasts for each venue.
- Track performance against targets.
- Present upcoming events, risks and opportunities.
- Analyse lead sources and campaign performance.
- Report separately on corporate, private dining, weddings, Christmas and venue hire.
- Highlight where additional marketing or operational support is required.
- Provide clear commercial recommendations based on performance.
Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in hospitality, restaurant or venue sales.
- Proven experience selling private dining, events, group bookings or venue hire.
- Experience managing sales across multiple venues or brands.
- Strong proactive business-development skills.
- A proven ability to generate leads and convert enquiries into confirmed revenue.
- Experience managing corporate accounts and building long-term client relationships.
- Strong understanding of the London hospitality and events market.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident preparing proposals, quotations and contracts.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience using reservations or event-management systems.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of pricing, minimum spends and profitability.
- Ability to manage multiple enquiries, deadlines and events simultaneously.
- Experience with restaurant openings is highly desirable.
- An established network of corporate, agency or events contacts would be advantageous.

Reporting Line
The Cluster Sales & Events Manager will report directly to the founders and COO and will work closely with the Cluster Marketing Manager and the general managers of each venue.
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
