The Lower New Inn is getting ready to welcome the community back, and we’re looking for brilliant people to join our team.
We want to create the kind of pub where everyone feels at home , whether they’re joining us for a relaxed drink, a family meal, our Thursday quiz or a proper Sunday roast. To make that happen, we need warm, friendly team members who genuinely enjoy looking after people.
The role
As a Restaurant Team Member, you’ll help make every visit a great one. You’ll welcome guests, take orders, serve food and drinks, keep the pub looking its best and work closely with the rest of the team.
No two shifts will be quite the same. You might be preparing the restaurant for service, helping a family choose from the menu, serving a busy Sunday lunch or making sure our regulars receive the friendly welcome they know us for.
About you
You don’t need to know everything on day one, we can teach you the practical skills. What matters most is that you are:
- Naturally friendly and comfortable talking to people
- Reliable, positive and willing to get stuck in
- Calm and organised when things get busy
- Proud of delivering warm, attentive service
- A genuine team player
- Available for a mixture of weekday, evening and weekend shifts
Previous hospitality experience would be helpful, but it isn’t essential. If you have the right attitude and enjoy making people feel welcome, we’d love to hear from you.
