Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Night Senior Carer to oversee the wellbeing and care of residents during overnight shifts within a reputable care home. Duties
- Supervise and support care staff during night shifts, ensuring high standards of care are maintained at all times
- Oversee the implementation and review of personalised care plans for residents, ensuring their needs are met effectively
- Provide direct care to residents, including assistance with personal hygiene, mobility, and medication administration as required
- Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing throughout the night, responding promptly to any emergencies or concerns
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, incidents, and observations in accordance with regulatory standards
- Ensure the safety and security of residents and staff during overnight hours
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, family members, and other stakeholders as needed to coordinate ongoing care
- Lead by example in promoting a positive, respectful environment within the care home
Requirements
- Proven experience working within a care home environment specialising in senior or elderly care
- Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare setting is essential
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation duties or emergency purposes
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, and team members
- Knowledge of care plans, medication administration, and IT systems utilised within healthcare settings
- Compassionate approach with a genuine interest in providing high-quality senior care
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining team coordination when necessary
- Organised with excellent attention to detail to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols
Pay: £13.31 per hour
