Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Café Manager to lead our soft play café operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, kitchen management, and team supervision. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily café activities, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain high standards of food safety and quality. The Café Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, managing the kitchen and service areas, and ensuring smooth operational flow in a fast-paced environment. This role is hands on, the manager will be working shifts in the cafe.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily café operations, ensuring efficient service and customer satisfaction
- Supervise and motivate staff, including baristas & servers.
- Coordinate food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards
- Manage food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations
- Organise staff schedules, training sessions, and performance evaluations
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly
- Implement health and safety procedures to safeguard staff and customers
Skills
- Proven experience in supervising or managing a restaurant or café environment
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent team management skills
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
- Experience in food production, kitchen operations, or hospitality settings
- Familiarity with barista skills and serving techniques is advantageous
- Ability to organise tasks efficiently under pressure in a busy setting
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary management
- Previous experience in hospitality industries is desirable
