Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen personnel, and support staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
- Manage daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety policies across all departments.
- Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor performance to optimise productivity.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any complaints promptly to guarantee high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Assist with menu planning and development in collaboration with culinary staff to enhance offerings.
- Monitor sales figures and operational costs to meet financial targets while maintaining service quality.
- Conduct regular training sessions on food safety, service standards, and team development initiatives.
- Maintain organised records of sales, inventory, staffing, and other operational data for reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within hospitality environments.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
- Previous experience in supervising teams with excellent leadership skills.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations including food production, serving practices, and hospitality principles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and engage customers effectively.
- Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a passion for delivering outstanding service is essential.
