Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Returns Operative to join our dynamic warehouse team. Duties
- Receive and inspect returned items, verifying their condition and documenting any damages or discrepancies
- Operate forklifts safely to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
- Use warehouse management systems (such as AS400) to track inventory movements and update stock records accurately
- Handle materials with care during stocking, picking, packing, and shipping processes
- Manage the movement of goods using appropriate mechanical tools and equipment
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with knowledge of stock handling procedures
- Valid forklift certification and mechanical knowledge are highly desirable
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems like AS400 or similar platforms
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks
- Construction or materials handling experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management
- Physical stamina to stand, lift, and move items throughout shifts

Hours - 8am till 4pm (Monday to Friday)
Payrate - £12.71ph increasing to £13.71 based on performance - Overtime is time & half for anything over 40hrs
Pay day - Paid the last Friday of the month
Pay: £12.71-£13.71 per hour
