Cleaning Operatives required for Dayshift and Backshift
Location: Edinburgh Waverley Station
Shift Pattern: Dayshift (06:00-14:00) and Backshift (14:00-22:00) with 30 minute unpaid break included.
Rota: 4 Days On, 2 Days Off (Rolling Rota)
Hours: Average 35 hours per week
Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour
We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our Cleaning Team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a hardworking team responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across one of Scotland's busiest transport hubs.
Working as part of our operation, you will undertake a range of cleaning duties and support reactive cleaning requirements as they arise. No two shifts are the same, so the ability to adapt and work effectively in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Previous cleaning experience and industry knowledge are preferred but not essential.

Role Responsibilities:
Ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained, and in safe working order
Meet all agreed SLAs and follow cleaning schedules
Build knowledge of the designated cleaning area and understand cleaning equipment and chemicals used
Follow Health and Safety requirements and complete all required training
Work effectively within a team and independently, delivering excellent customer service

Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential

Additional Information
Please note that this role involves predominantly outdoor working throughout the year and candidates should be comfortable working in varying seasonal weather conditions.
Any candidate who is put forward must have excellent commination skills and speak and write in good English. The use of a two-way radio is required for this position so the candidate must be confident in the use of this and be able to use and understand radio commands and etiquette.
Successful candidates will need to apply for a permanent station ID pass after 28 consecutive days (irrespective of working days, rest days etc) For foreign national candidates you will need to produce their Passport and Home Office sharecode and a bank statement (dated within the last 3 months) as proof of address. For all other candidates a passport or photo driving licence is acceptable. All the above-mentioned documents must be in date.
Candidates must ensure they can source public transport that allows them to meet the agreed shift start and finish times (especially on Sunday's) as this can be an problematic in some parts of the country.
