Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs while ensuring their safety and well-being during walks. This position requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple dogs at once. If you are enthusiastic about animal care and enjoy spending time outdoors, we would love to hear from you. This position requires availability on Mondays and Fridays on a weekly basis.
Responsibilities
- Walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and socialisation.
- Monitor the behaviour and health of each dog during walks, reporting any concerns to the owner or veterinary services as needed.
- Maintain a safe environment for the dogs by adhering to local regulations and guidelines regarding leash laws and public spaces.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behaviour, needs, and any incidents that may occur during walks.
- Keep accurate records of each dog's walking schedule, preferences, and any special requirements.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with dogs is desirable.
- A full, clean driving license is essential.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their concerns.
- Ability to manage multiple dogs simultaneously while ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Physical capability to perform walking for up to 3 hours per day and handling strong dogs.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Be willing to partake in a canine first aid course.
