No previous experience is required, as full training, supervision, and ongoing support will be provided.
Pay Rates
- Day Shift: £15.00 per hour
- Night Shift: £18.50 per hour
- Weekend Shift: £21.00 per hour
- Bank Holiday Shift: £23.40 per hour
The Role
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will support children and young people within their own homes, helping them to achieve positive outcomes through person-centred care and therapeutic support.
Your duties may include:
- Providing personal care and support with daily living activities
- Supporting children with autism, learning disabilities, and behaviours of concern
- Building positive, trusting relationships
- Implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies and care plans
- Supporting communication using individual communication methods
- Promoting emotional wellbeing and reducing anxiety through structured routines
- Supporting play, learning, community access, and social activities
- Recording care accurately and maintaining clear documentation
- Working closely with families and multidisciplinary professionals
- Promoting dignity, independence, choice, and inclusion at all times
Full Training Provided
Successful applicants will receive comprehensive training, including:
- Safeguarding Children

- De-escalation and Behaviour Management
- Moving & Handling
- Medication Administration
- Infection Prevention & Control
- Basic Life Support
- Documentation & Record Keeping
- Person-Centred Care
Additional specialist training will be provided depending on the individual needs of the children you support.

Desirable
