The Role
We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our well-established Estates and Facilities Directorate at Canterbury Christ Church University
A Kitchen Porter has various duties and responsibilities to perform. the job is focused on keeping the kitchen clean at all times in order to have a hygienic environment to ensure that all areas of the department meet the highest Food hygiene standards to meet health and safety regulations.
Receiving and accepting deliveries and a good understanding of stock rotation.
The Person
We are searching for a highly motivated individual with a flexible approach and be able to meet the expectations of providing a consistent and quality service to students, staff and external visitors.
The ideal candidate will be:

Team Player to be consistently working with colleagues to ensure the best service is offered
- Delivering a first-class service to students, staff and external clients.
- Working with the kitchen team in any outlet, assisting with deliveries, general cleaning and a good understanding of stock rotation.
- Working to agreed clean rosters and maintaining hygiene standards within their area of work
- Team player to be consistently working with colleagues to ensure the best service is offered
- Able to work flexibly
- Able to drive a manual vehicle with less than 6 points on licence.
Successful candidate must be able to drive to facilitate the transportation of stock to various outlets on and off site.
