The candidate will represent our well-established sports coaching company that delivers Primary PE, interventions, extra-curricular clubs (breakfast, lunchtime, after school clubs) and holiday clubs.
The role is varied and would be suited to a candidate who is confident with their physical delivery to children, has knowledge of Primary National Curriculum PE and a keen interest in variety of sports. The candidate will be comfortable with starting on a 30 hour contract with ambition to work a full-time (38 hour) role within the company in time.
You will deliver Primary PE working in line with the National Curriculum Guidelines across a wide variety of units gymnastics, dance, Invasion games, striking & fielding games, outdoor adventurous activities and health & fitness across the academic year, where necessary internal Continued Personal Development (CPD) can be provided around any of the units above through resources and shadowing our lead coach.
You will deliver interventions working across primary, secondary and alternative provisions. All boxing sessions are none contact, the sessions are built on empowerment, regulation and self-control. We will put you through your qualification to teach boxing if you do not hold the qualification already.
You will be responsible for the delivery of a breakfast (optional) & after school club daily, working with children from 4-11 years. You will be expected to engage with pupils and parents and to create a fun and valuable experience based around multi-sports, team games and group activities.
You will also be one of our Head Coaches for our holiday clubs Rileys Kids Camps in half-term and be responsible for managing the holiday provision and other staff (depending on experience). If the candidate needs supporting in their journey of leadership, time and experience will be offered in gaining more hands-on experience within the setting with ambition to lead.
You will be expected to support the business through planning, development and administrative tasks.
The candidate will demonstrate;
- Strong leadership and outstanding communication.

- Confidence in working with children.
- Have knowledge of Primary National Curriculum PE.
- High quality coaching to children.
The candidate will hold;
- Educated at degree level or equivalent (desirable).
- Have some experience in working with children and young people (desirable).
- NGB level 2 qualification or equivalent (desirable).
- Driving license and own transport.

- Hatton Academy boxing qualification or equivalent.
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- Safeguarding/child protection
- Emergency first aid
- Food hygiene
This role will be based on term time hours of roughly 30 hours per week, and half-term hours of 37.5 hours per week (based on a 5 day week). The ambition for the role will be to work up to full time 38 hours per week during term time.
