Job Purpose
The Match Day Casual Retail Assistant is responsible for delivering excellent customer experience in the Plymouth Argyle Superstore on matchdays and during busy trading periods. The role involves serving customers, replenishing stock, maintaining store presentations and supporting the retail team to maximise sales whilst representing Plymouth Argyle Football Club in a professional manner.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

· Ability to work effectively within a busy team environment.
· Reliable, punctual and able to work under pressure during peak trading periods.
· Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
· Comfortable handling cash and operating EPOS tills (training provided).
· Willingness to learn product knowledge and club promotions.
· Flexible approach to work, including evenings, weekends and matchdays.
Key Role Requirements
· Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
· Process customer purchases accurately using the till system.
· Replenish stock and maintain high merchandising standards throughout the store.
· Ensure displays remain tidy, well-stocked and visually appealing.
· Handle customer queries professionally and escalate issues where appropriate.
Outputs
· Excellent customer service and positive customer feedback.
· Accurate cash handling and till transactions.
· Well-presented and fully stocked retail environment.
· Efficient support during busy matchday trading periods.
· Positive contribution to retail sales targets.
Experience
· Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
· Experience working in a fast-paced environment would be beneficial.
· Cash handling or till experience is advantageous.

Qualifications
· No formal qualifications required.
· GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) desirable.
· Basic IT skills and confidence using tills or point-of-sale systems would be beneficial.
· Full training will be provided.
Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
