Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our residents according to their preferences. Your primary focus will be to help with personal care and daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This position requires strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Adhere to care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring that all requirements are met.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, demonstrating kindness and respect towards residents and colleagues.
- Maintain accurate records of our residents' progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the senior on duty.
- Engage in social activities and trips out, representing the care home in a positive manner.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Skills
- Proficient in English with excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families and team members.
- Experience in a care home setting or home care environment is advantageous.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.

Hours:
- Shifts start at 08:00 and finish at 20:00.
- Alternate weekend working is required.
- 36 hours a week are currently available.
