Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Care Assistant to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional care to individuals in a care home or home care setting. Duties
- Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support the implementation of individual care plans to meet each resident’s specific needs
- Encourage social interaction and participation in activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems and ensure compliance with care standards
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and team members to coordinate care and address concerns
- Support with light household tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and maintaining a clean environment
- Drive or accompany residents on outings or appointments as needed, ensuring their safety at all times
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Good communication skills in English to interact clearly and compassionately with residents and colleagues
- Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately and adhere to health and safety protocols
- Basic IT skills for recording documentation and updating resident records efficiently
- Valid driving license is advantageous for roles involving transportation or outings
- Demonstrated caring attitude, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with residents
