Staffordshire Motor Services (Telford) Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Vehicle Service Manager to lead our busy workshop and ensure the delivery of high‑quality, compliant, and efficient maintenance services for commercial vehicles.
This is a key leadership role, responsible for managing technicians, overseeing workshop operations, ensuring DVSA and O‑Licence compliance, and delivering exceptional service to our customers.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and developing a team of technicians and apprentices.
- Managing daily workshop operations and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Maintaining compliance with DVSA, Health & Safety, and internal standards.
- Overseeing servicing, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Managing customer relationships and providing clear communication.
- Monitoring KPIs, controlling costs, and driving performance improvements.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong technical background in HGV/LGV maintenance.
- Experience in a workshop supervisory or management role.
- Excellent understanding of DVSA regulations and O‑Licence undertakings.
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Organised, proactive, and committed to high standards.
Desirable: IRTEC accreditation, Transport Manager CPC, or experience with manufacturer diagnostic systems.
