Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences at Euro Cafe. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for food preparation and presentation. This role involves supervising kitchen operations, managing food production, and ensuring high standards of food safety and hospitality. The Chef will play a vital role in maintaining the organisation’s reputation for quality cuisine and outstanding service to work 6 days a week with the Cafe opening at 6am and closing at 4pm.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to organisational standards
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including training, mentoring, and performance management
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision, creativity, and consistency
- Manage food production processes to meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised workspace
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Develop menus in line with current trends and customer preferences
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary to prevent shortages
- Uphold high standards of hospitality, ensuring guests receive excellent service at all times
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food presentation
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene
- Previous experience working in restaurants or hospitality establishments is essential
- Demonstrated leadership in managing kitchen operations under pressure
- Experience in serving guests and delivering exceptional customer service is desirable
