Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled SIA Instructor Teacher to deliver our Trainer Development Programme.
This role focuses on training and developing individuals who want to become SIA trainers. You will be responsible for preparing and assessing future instructors so they can confidently deliver accredited training within the security industry.
As part of the programme, you will deliver structured training across the following qualifications:
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET)
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA)
- Level 3 Award in Conflict Management
- Level 3 Physical Intervention Instructor Qualification
- Level 3 Internal Quality Assurance
You will ensure learners are fully competent, compliant, and ready to operate as approved SIA trainers upon completion of the programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver instructor development training programmes for aspiring SIA trainers
- Train and assess candidates on teaching delivery, classroom management, and assessment standards
- Ensure all learners meet the required standards to become approved SIA trainers
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and structured feedback throughout the programme
- Maintain accurate training records, assessments, and compliance documentation
- Ensure all delivery meets awarding body and SIA regulatory requirements
- Promote high standards of professionalism, safety, and learner engagement
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience delivering SIA Instructor courses
- Previous experience delivering instructor-level or trainer development programmes
- Strong understanding of SIA standards and training requirements
- Excellent communication, presentation, and coaching skills
- Ability to develop confident and competent trainers
- Professional, reliable, and highly organised approach
Desirable
- IQA qualification
- Experience mentoring or developing new trainers
- Physical Intervention instructor experience
- First Aid qualification
- Experience working with awarding organisations
