Job Overview
We are seeking a positive and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education. This role involves working closely with children aged 9 months - 2 years old. Must have some experience in working with children.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children in the nursery setting.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
- Manage daily routines and ensure that children's needs are met throughout the day.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a high standard of care and education within the nursery.
- Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with nursery policies and regulations.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children and adults alike.
- Leadership qualities to guide and support other staff members in delivering quality childcare.
- A drive for continuous improvement in early childhood education practices.
- Experience working in a nursery or similar childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, to facilitate clear communication with parents and colleagues.
- A genuine love for working with children and supporting their development through play-based learning activities.
