perkd is a growing independent coffee shop in the heart of Pelsall, serving great coffee, cakes and sandwiches to a community we love. The Role
This is an opportunity to take the reins of the shop floor and help build something special. You’ll lead the daily flow, maintain high coffee standards and contribute ideas that shape the future of perkd, from new drinks to customer experience improvements. ● Lead the day‑to‑day running of the shop with confidence and initiative
● Dial in espresso, maintain brew quality and care for equipment

● Move smoothly between service, cleaning and operational tasks
● Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation through daily documented opening/closing duties

Essential Requirements
● Weekend working
● GCSE in Maths and English (or equivalent)
● Food Hygiene Level 2 or Level 3
● 1+ year barista experience
● Demonstrable hospitality experience
● Clear communicator who both leads and supports a team
Desirable (But Not Essential)
● Barista qualification or accredited coffee training
● Dialling in espresso throughout the day and understand how to adjust for variables
● Managerial experience / experience training or supporting junior baristas
● Confidence using POS systems and handling cash
● Stock management experience
Hours & Growth Opportunity
We’re initially looking for someone to join us for around 12 hours per week, Friday to Sunday, on a trial basis. As we expand our opening hours and days, we plan to grow the team to work with you during the week. You’ll be joining at a pivotal moment, with the chance to grow with us from the ground up, take ownership of the shop floor and help shape the future of perkd.
