HGV Technician

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established and expanding commercial vehicle workshop in Rochester.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Technician who is looking for more than just a standard workshop role. The business is committed to investing in its engineers, offering ongoing technical training and genuine opportunities to progress into senior and supervisory positions.
The Role
You will be responsible for maintaining a range of HGVs and ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable and compliant.
Your duties will include:
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs
- Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults
- Carrying out inspections, compliance checks and MOT preparation
- Using diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults
- Completing job cards and service records accurately
- Working closely with the wider workshop team
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Level 3 HGV / Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification
- Previous experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- A reliable and professional approach
- A willingness to learn and develop
- Ambition to progress within a growing business

- Early shifts available
- Late shifts available
- Rotating shift patterns
