Responsibilities
- Safely operate flatbed trucks and other delivery vehicles to transport goods across designated routes.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Plan delivery routes for optimal efficiency and timely arrivals.
- Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing friendly and helpful service.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered on the route.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role, preferably with commercial driving experience.
- Familiarity with flatbed trucking operations and securing cargo for transport.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Ability to navigate using GPS or maps efficiently and adapt to changing routes as needed.
- Strong organizational skills for managing deliveries and paperwork accurately.
- Prior experience with delivery driver roles involving physical loading/unloading is advantageous.
