Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for day-to-day financial processes, from managing daily banking to ensuring our suppliers and customers are taken care of.
The successful candidate will manage a varied workload consisting of daily, weekly, and monthly financial cycles. This is a part-time position of 20 hours per week, with the specific working days open to negotiation for the right candidate.
Duties
- Manage daily banking and reconciliation.
- Process and distribute customer invoices.
- Act as the first point of contact for customer account/invoice email queries.
- Proactive Credit Control and debt chasing to maintain cash flow.
- Efficient processing of purchase invoices.
- Resolve supplier invoice queries.
- Manage petty cash.
- Prepare the supplier payment run.
- Full bank account reconciliations.
- Issue monthly customer statements.
Experience
- To be successful in this role, you must be highly organised and comfortable working independently to meet deadlines.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role is essential.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, proficiency in accounting software & Microsoft Excel, and excellent communication skills for debt chasing and query resolution.
- Reliability: You should be comfortable managing the end-to-end process of purchase and sales ledgers.
