We are seeking a reliable, proactive and organised Household Assistant / Family Home Manager to help keep a busy family home running smoothly.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating order, taking initiative and becoming a trusted part of a family’s routine. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the household, ensuring everything is organised and maintained so that family time can be focused on what matters most.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping & Home Management
- General cleaning and tidying throughout the home
- Laundry, ironing and wardrobe organisation
- Changing bed linen and maintaining bedrooms
- Keeping household supplies stocked and organised
- Managing household routines and identifying tasks that need attention
- Maintaining a clean, welcoming and well-organised home environment
Food & Meal Preparation
- Grocery shopping and household errands
- Meal planning support
- Preparing ingredients for family meals
- Preparing some meals in full where required
- Organising fridge, cupboards and food supplies
Family Support
- Occasional school pick-ups for two children
- Occasional drop-offs and pick-ups from after-school clubs and activities
- Possible occasional over night stays and school drop off
- Providing dependable support when schedules require flexibility.
- Helping to look after our cat
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is trustworthy, dependable and discreet
- Has excellent organisational skills
- Takes initiative and can work independently
- Enjoys creating systems and routines
- Has previous experience in housekeeping, home management, family assistance or a similar role
- Is comfortable working around children and family life
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to their own vehicle (preferred)
Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- References available upon request
- Right to work in the UK

The ideal candidate will quickly get into a rhythm of understanding what needs doing and when, ensuring the household runs like clockwork. By taking care of the day-to-day household tasks, you’ll help create more quality family time and make life significantly easier for a busy working parent.
