Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. This role offers an opportunity to develop specialised skills in coffee preparation and food service within a dynamic environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customers enjoy a memorable experience. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, in accordance with company standards.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system.
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and well-stocked throughout shifts.
- Provide friendly and attentive service to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for colleagues and customers.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards relevant to food and beverage service.
- Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the role.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic food preparation skills to assist with light kitchen tasks when needed.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent time management to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Friendly demeanour with strong communication skills to engage positively with customers and team members.
