Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Heat Pump Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in air conditioning, maintenance, and construction. This role involves conducting comprehensive surveys of heat pump systems, ensuring optimal performance, and providing expert recommendations for repairs and improvements. Duties
- Conduct detailed surveys of heat pump systems across various sites, including residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
- Analyse schematics and technical drawings to assess system configurations and identify potential issues.
- Inspect equipment to determine operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose faults in heat pump units, including mechanical components, electrical connections, and control systems.
- Lead on-site assessments, providing clear reports and recommendations for repairs or upgrades.
- Oversee equipment repair processes, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to high standards.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to coordinate maintenance activities and project timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of survey findings, technical data, and service reports.
- Support the development of maintenance programmes aimed at prolonging system lifespan and improving energy efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in air conditioning systems and heat pump technology.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and system layouts.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage on-site teams or contractors effectively.
- Experience in equipment repair, maintenance programmes, and troubleshooting complex systems.
- Strong understanding of construction processes related to HVAC installations or upgrades.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to technical surveys and equipment handling.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in reporting and documentation.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments. Candidates should possess relevant qualifications in HVAC engineering or a related field; however, practical experience is highly valued. The role offers a dynamic working environment where technical expertise is essential for success in advancing sustainable heating solutions.
Pay: £28,289.26-£40,000.00 per year
