We're Hiring: Saturday Charity Shop Assistant (9am to 5pm)

We're excited to be opening our brand-new charity shop in Motherwell on Friday 12th June, and we're looking for an enthusiastic, trustworthy and motivated individual to join us as our Saturday Charity Shop Assistant.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of something new from the very beginning while supporting the work of Rookie Rockstars, helping young people develop confidence, creativity and life skills through music.
What Makes This Role Different?
This is more than just a retail job. We're looking for someone who can take ownership, use their initiative and confidently run the shop when required.
You'll often be working independently and will be responsible for:
- Opening and closing the shop
- Delivering outstanding customer service
- Handling cash and card transactions
- Creating an inviting shopping experience
- Merchandising and maintaining shop displays
- Representing Rookie Rockstars and engaging customers with our charity's mission
- Providing occasional weekday cover during the Manager's annual leave and other absences
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Is reliable, responsible and trustworthy
- Is confident working independently
- Has excellent customer service and communication skills
- Brings energy, positivity and enthusiasm to work
- Is flexible and willing to provide additional cover when required
- Wants to be part of a growing charity making a real impact in local communities
- Has retail and cash-handling experience (preferred but not essential)
