Career progression to Despatch Team Leader
Ethstat Ethical is looking for a hardworking and dependable person to join our operations and despatch team. This is a junior position with genuine potential to develop your career within the company over the next two to three years. You will initially learn the role from an experienced team member who is being promoted internally. You will be responsible for making sure customer orders are picked, checked, packed and despatched correctly and on time. This is a physical, hands-on role that also requires good computer skills, organisation and customer service.
Your responsibilities
- Pick, check, pack and despatch customer orders accurately.
- Prepare courier labels and complete despatch administration.
- Check that every order is complete before it leaves us.
- Receive and check incoming deliveries.
- Organise stock and report missing, damaged or low-stock items.
- Keep the warehouse and despatch areas clean, safe and tidy.
- Manage competing priorities and meet customer deadlines.
- Communicate professionally with customers, suppliers and couriers.
- Identify problems, find solutions and follow every job through to completion.
What we are looking for
You will be:
- Hardworking, trustworthy and reliable.
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail.
- Proactive and always willing to ask, “What else can I do?”
- Able to manage your workload without constant supervision.
- Confident using computers and learning new systems.
- Professional and helpful on the telephone.
- Comfortable taking responsibility and being accountable for your work.
- Physically able to undertake a busy, hands-on role.
- Calm under pressure and able to solve problems.
- Honest about deadlines and careful not to overpromise.
- Someone who takes pride in getting the job done properly.
Previous warehouse, despatch or fulfilment experience would be helpful, but it is not essential. The right attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn are more important.

This is a demanding role during busy periods and requires flexibility, commitment and dedication. In return, you will join a supportive team and build valuable experience across despatch, fulfilment, stock management, customer service and operations.
