Overview
We are seeking a motivated and attentive Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team during Friday and Saturday service. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient service of food to our guests, maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for hospitality, food service, and culinary arts to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in restaurant, kitchen, or hotel settings is advantageous, along with strong communication and guest service skills. All roles are paid positions, including internships.
Duties
- Deliver prepared food from the kitchen to guests in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with food preparation and plating as required, supporting the kitchen team
- Ensure all dishes are presented according to quality standards before delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service stations and dining areas
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate orders
- Uphold food safety standards at all times, including proper handling and storage of dishes
- Support with basic meal preparation tasks when necessary
- Provide excellent guest services by responding promptly to guest requests and inquiries
- Ensure proper phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering guest questions
- Assist with setting up tables and clearing after service as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or related roles such as barista, culinary assistant, or hotel staff is preferred but not essential
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- A positive attitude and reliability are essential for this role
