Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food production. Duties: - Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all aspects of food preparation and production - Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety and sanitation standards - Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop menus and create new dishes - Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment - Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to established recipes and quality standards - Assist in the planning and execution of special events or catering functions - Help with menu costing and budgeting Qualifications: - Previous experience working as a Sous Chef or in a similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting - Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines - Excellent supervisory and team management abilities - Proficient in food preparation, including knife skills, cooking methods, and plating techniques - Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Culinary degree or certification is preferred but not required We offer competitive pay based on experience, along with opportunities for career advancement within our organization.
