Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated and importantly, FUN, Swimming Teachers who would dual role as lifeguards to join our aquatic team. These roles involve helping and instructing individuals of various ages and skill levels in swimming, promoting safety, and fostering confidence in the water. The positions are paid, offering an excellent opportunity for those passionate about swimming and teaching to develop their skills within a supportive environment. Successful candidates will contribute to creating a safe, enjoyable, and educational swimming experience for all participants.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, FUN swimming lessons tailored to different age groups and abilities
- Ensure the safety of all swimmers by monitoring water activities closely
- Assist with organising swimming sessions, including setting up equipment and preparing lesson plans
- Support each other in maintaining a safe and tidy pool environment
- Provide encouragement and constructive feedback to help swimmers improve their skills
- Help organise swimming events or competitions as required
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and progress for each participant
- Be a part of developing the programme from the ground up
Requirements
- Prior experience or training in swimming teaching is desirable but not essential; a passion for instructing others, in a fun way, is key
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage learners of all ages
- Ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- Responsible attitude with a focus on safety and participant well-being
- Willingness to undertake relevant training or certifications if necessary
- Applicants must be aged 16 or over; previous experience in aquatic environments is advantageous but not mandatory
