William Hulme’s Grammar School (WHGS) is an all-through school and one of the most over-subscribed schools in Manchester. We have an excellent reputation and high aspirations for all our students, who enjoy an academic and creatively rich curriculum and are equipped with the skills that will help them to become responsible members of the local and global community.
We have an opportunity for a motivated and organised Admissions Officer, who will play a key role in representing WHGS to prospective and current families, ensuring that every stage of the admissions journey
reflects the school’s values, ethos and strong sense of community. As a central point of contact, the postholder will combine excellent administration with a professional and inclusive approach, helping families feel welcomed, informed and supported from first enquiry through to enrolment and induction.
Working across the whole school, the Admissions Officer will support fair and compliant admissions processes while also contributing to recruitment, transition, induction and pupil record management. This is
an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to play a visible part in school life and make a meaningful contribution to the positive, caring and relationship-focused experience that defines WHGS.
At WHGS, community matters, and this role is instrumental in helping families feel part of that community from the very beginning. The successful candidate will demonstrate warmth, empathy and excellent
communication, recognising that admissions is not simply about processes and paperwork, but about building trust, offering reassurance and helping each child make a successful start.
Early applications are encouraged as we reserve the right to interview suitable candidates as they apply.
