We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders and handling transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the shop area, including kitchen and dining spaces.
- Support with stock replenishment, rotating stock to ensure freshness and availability.
- Upsell menu items or products to maximise sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service.
- Follow food safety regulations diligently, adhering to hygiene standards at all times.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service delivery.
- Assist in basic cooking or culinary tasks as required, supporting the kitchen team when necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients accurately.
- Experience in fast paced environment is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanour.
