Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Loading Shovel Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in commercial driving. As a Loading Shovel Operator, you will be responsible for transporting materials, and maintaining the worksite. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth operation of our projects and requires a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Operate Loading Shovel and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Transport materials and equipment to designated locations on-site.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Report any mechanical issues or concerns regarding equipment to the supervisor promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and machinery are stored correctly after use.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in operating Loading Shovel or similar heavy machinery.
- Valid commercial driving licence is essential.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety practices on-site.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Previous experience in waste or construction settings is an advantage but not mandatory.
