Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in the Woodlands Care Home. You will be responsible for supporting residents with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while maintaining a respectful and dignified approach to care.
Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding, adhering to dietary requirements as outlined in care plans.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in resident's conditions to senior staff.
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life.
- Follow established care plans and contribute to the development of individualised support strategies.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Experience
- Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with residents and team members.
- Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively is beneficial.
