Support Workers are supported to carry out an essential and varied roles to provide individual care and support to each young person in placement. We take on the parental role for the young people as co-operate parents, this includes taking young people to education, appointments, do activities with them, administer medication alongside ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed to evidence our work to the governing bodies. Don’t forget as a co-operate parent you also have to do the household tasks as you would at home. Senior Residential Support Workers are part of the management team in the home and work together to support both staff and young people to make progress.
The young people are always top of our agenda as they should be, we are looking for a Senior Residential Support Worker, who shares our vision to promote each young person’s to achieve the best possible outcome for themselves to enable then to go on and make a future for themselves and thrive.
Previous experience within the care setting and QCF Level 3 or level 4 are needed for this role. Supervisory experience would be great, but as we have previously said we all start somewhere as we develop and progress in our roles. Essential Qualifications needed for the role;
Acquired or willingness to working towards Level 3 Children & Young Peoples Workforce Diploma with social care pathway or Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or NVQ 3 caring for children & young people, or NVQ 3 health & social care.
