About the Role
We are looking for energetic, confident, and outgoing Retail Entertainment Assistants to join our team. This unique role combines retail, guest interaction, and live entertainment to create magical moments for our visitors. Inspired by the world-famous toy demonstrations and theatrical sales techniques seen in stores such as Hamleys, our team members bring products to life through enthusiasm, storytelling, and engaging performances.
Whether you're creating giant bubbles, spinning fresh candy floss, hosting a Maked-A-Bear-style experience in our famous Wallace shop, or demonstrating exciting merchandise, you'll be at the heart of delivering fun, memorable experiences that encourage guests to interact, participate, and purchase.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Entertainment & Engagement
- Create a fun, energetic atmosphere through lively demonstrations and guest interaction.
- Use performance, storytelling, and theatrical skills to showcase products and experiences.
- Engage guests of all ages and encourage participation in activities and demonstrations.
- Deliver magical moments that enhance the overall guest experience.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Pleasure Beach Resort at all times.
Retail & Sales
- Confidently demonstrate and sell products, experiences, and attractions.
- Operate retail tills and handle transactions accurately.
- Promote themed experiences including:
- Bubble demonstrations and interactive bubble activities
- Candy floss production and sales
- Make-a-Bear-style teddy bear experiences
- Seasonal merchandise and souvenir ranges
- Interactive toys and novelty products
- Meet sales targets through exceptional guest engagement and product knowledge.
Housekeeping & Presentation
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across retail units and experience areas.
- Ensure merchandise displays are fully stocked, attractive, and safe.
- Keep demonstration areas clean, organised, and guest-ready.
- Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene procedures where applicable.
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across retail and operations.
- Support special events, seasonal activities, and promotional campaigns.
- Assist in creating exciting new ways to engage guests and increase sales.

Desirable Skills
- Experience in retail, entertainment, theatre, performance, holiday parks, theme parks, or visitor attractions.
- Background in acting, performing arts, hosting, presenting, dance, or entertainment.
- Experience selling through demonstrations or interactive experiences.
- Food preparation experience (candy floss, confectionery, refreshments, etc.).
