Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CAD Designer/Operator to join our busy bespoke joinery company. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise and comprehensive technical drawings and cut sheets. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects while utilizing a broad range of design tools and software. The ideal candidate is passionate about precision, efficiency, and collaborative problem-solving. Joinery background/experience preferred. Salary negotiable depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings
- Collaborate with project managers, external contractor design teams and production
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback, ensuring accuracy and clarity before final submission
- Maintain organized digital files of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation
- Support on-site construction teams by providing updated CAD drawings as needed for installation or modifications
Experience
- Strong understanding of construction processes
- Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills to collaborate across teams
- Proven experience in computer-aided design (CAD) 2D, with 3D experience preferred but not vital.
- Willing to learn and Autocad based manufacturing software (Microvellum)
