Lead Driver (Two-Person Team)
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and safety conscious individual to join our team as a Lead Driver, working across Gloucestershire and the Forest of Dean. In this role, you will lead a two-person team, safely driving between sites while working alongside an Operator to carry out a variety of outdoor maintenance tasks.
This position suited to someone who is comfortable driver and confident driving tipper / large truck.
Monday - Friday
Hours: 7AM - 3PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely drive company vehicles between designated work sites across Gloucestershire and the Forest of Dean
- Support the daily activities of a two-person team, working alongside an Operator
- Carry out routine outdoor maintenance and manual tasks across designated areas
- Load, unload, transport, and handle materials, tools, and equipment safely
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are kept clean, roadworthy, and compliant
- Operate hand tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Follow all health and safety procedures, company policies, and traffic regulations
- Complete basic records, vehicle documentation, and report any issues to supervisors
Essential Skills & Requirements:
- Full, valid UK driving licence
- Good level of physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Experience driving vans or light commercial vehicles is desirable
- Willingness to carry out manual outdoor tasks as part of the role
- Good understanding of health and safety practices and safe driving responsibilities
- Basic communication and record-keeping skills
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a two-person team
- A positive attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
