We are looking to recruit a Tape & Reel Production Operator to meet the demand of our increasing customer orders within Production. This position, which is based in our Glenrothes facility at Southfield Industrial Estate is permanent, subject to completion of a satisfactory 3-month probation period and we are looking for someone who is willing to train in all three production departments to become a multi-skilled operator.
Candidates should have previous experience in a fast paced production environment, have an eye for fine detail, good dexterity and be able to work unsupervised. This role is located in an antistatic environment therefore antistatic PPE is provided for all employees.
- Work to Production Plan ensuring all timescales/customer requirements are met.
- Taping and Reeling all customers’ products from tubes, trays, wafers or hand placed.
- Operation of manual and automatic tape & reel machines, die sorters, peel strength tester, cropping machines, V-Tek inspection, vacuum machine, bar code machine and any other relevant equipment
- Accept deliveries from couriers, check received goods
- Record delivery on computer system.
- Kit up each job in accordance with the paperwork.
- Use of vacuum machine, transfer jigs, bar coders, ovens.
- Pack despatch product in accordance with customers specifications.
- Use of vacuum machines, scales, lifting equipment.
- Assemble packaging where necessary. Liase with couriers
- Carry out the daily machine/workbench maintenance.

- Dayshift Hours – Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 2pm
- 40 hours per week
- Training will be provided by our Chargehands and Supervisors
