## Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support an individual in their own home . The ideal candidate will have a caring nature and a genuine desire to help others maintain their independence and quality of life. We are looking for somebody who has experience or knowledge of learning disabilities, physical impairments, speech impairment and other health conditions resulting in vulnerability.
35hrs per week. Ideally hours would be Monday 8-6, Tuesday 8-7, Wednesday 8-7. However times can be flexible and be arranged in advance with the family to accommodate their requirements.
NB Hourly rate includes holiday pay which is accumulated and paid weekly
There may be occasions where family may ask for additional hours on weekends however this will be extremely rare and pre agreed with the successful candidate.
Candidates should have a good sense of humour, an interest in arts and crafts, gardening and cooking.
PPE will have to be worn at all times due to the clients vulnerability.
## Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with mobility issues and help them move around their home or care home
- Prepare meals and ensure clients are well-nourished
- Help client with medication reminders and adherence to care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to client
- Keep accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition
## Skills
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record-keeping and communication
- A valid driving license to assist with client transportation if required
- Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families
