Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional service within our hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and hygienic processing of laundry items, contributing to the overall cleanliness and presentation standards of our establishment. Previous hotel experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional setting with a focus on attention to detail and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, and load laundry items into washing machines and dryers according to established procedures.
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Fold, iron, and organise clean linen, towels, and uniforms for distribution across the hotel or facility.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is kept in good working order.
- Monitor inventory levels of detergents and cleaning supplies, notifying management when stock needs replenishing.
- Assist with special laundry requests or urgent cleaning tasks as required.
- Follow hygiene standards rigorously to prevent cross-contamination and ensure guest safety.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with laundry machinery and processes is beneficial but training will be provided for those new to the role.
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
