Duties
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food production meets quality standards and safety regulations
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers, fostering teamwork and high performance
- Oversee food preparation processes, including cooking, plating, and serving to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health codes
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage stock to minimize waste
- Train new team members on food safety practices, culinary techniques, and customer service expectations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, and food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Prior management or supervising experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with restaurant operations, including serving and barista duties is a plus
- Passion for culinary arts, hospitality, and delivering exceptional guest experiences
