Within our Campus department we are currently looking for a new enthusiastic and motivated Estates Assistant to join our team. The role is critical to the functioning of our estates and in ensuring that all students, visitors, and occupiers receive a professional service. You will be required to work both as part of a team and independently to meet the University's high standards.
As an Estates Assistant within Campus Operations at Clifton Campus, you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of buildings within our estate, gaining valuable experience in different environments. The role involves a diverse range of responsibilities, including reception duties, the delivery, collection and sorting of post, monitoring room bookings, and carrying out compliance checks and testing.
You will also undertake general operational and manual handling tasks, such as setting up rooms for meetings and events, assisting with waste removal where required, and ensuring that building entrances, pathways and steps are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation. This is a varied, hands-on role that plays a key part in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the campus.
You will deal with a wide range of enquiries from university staff, students, and members of the public, giving the most efficient and accurate help and advice in a friendly, calm, and welcoming manner. As the ‘face’ of the University, you will provide a positive experience to everyone you encounter.
You have previous experience in a customer-focused environment. You will be a people person who is positive, helpful, and caring.
You will have good IT skills, including using Outlook, Excel, and Word. In addition to your experience, you will have strong communication skills, including the ability to be polite, welcoming, and empathetic to all.
