Overview
We are seeking a motivated and responsible PCV Driver Bus / Coach to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be the key to providing safe, reliable, and comfortable travel experiences for passengers. Your expertise in driving, vehicle maintenance, and excellent communication skills will ensure every journey is smooth and enjoyable. Duties
- Safely operate passenger buses or coaches on scheduled routes, contracts, rail replacement, private hires, ensuring adherence to traffic laws and company policies
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of the vehicle’s mechanical systems, brakes, lights, tires, and safety equipment to guarantee optimal performance
- Maintain clear communication with passengers, providing information about routes, stops, and safety procedures in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, especially those with special needs or mobility challenges
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities for compliance and operational efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and driving regulations diligently to ensure passenger safety at all times
Requirements
- Valid Category D (PCV) driver’s license with the appropriate class for bus or coach operation.
- Valid driver CPC card.
- Valid tachograph card (we can apply for this on your behalf).
- Able to undergo a DBS check to enhanced level.
- Be available 5 days out of 7 to work on a rota system with some early starts and late finishes some days. Weekend working will be required.
- Interest in learning the coaching industry, training will be given.
- Proven experience as a bus or coach driver with a strong focus on passenger transport preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective interaction with passengers and team members.
- Demonstrated ability to operate buses or coaches safely in various traffic conditions
- Prior experience as a driver or similar role is highly desirable.

- Be able to commute to our depot in Tamworth, B78 3GL, own transport would be essential due to varied shift patterns.
Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
