Job Type: Full-time / Part-time (flexible for the right candidate)
Serve is an exciting new independent brunch and evening dining venue, serving quality brunches, speciality coffee and relaxed evening dining. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a passionate and experienced Chef to join our team and help shape our kitchen from the ground up.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new business at an exciting stage. We're looking for someone who loves working with fresh ingredients, takes pride in producing consistently great food, and wants to play an active role in developing new dishes and seasonal menus.
What we're looking for
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a chef.
- Experience in trendy coffee shops, brunch venues, cafés or relaxed dining restaurants.
- Passion for cooking with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
- Someone who enjoys being creative and contributing ideas for new menus and specials.
- A positive team player who thrives in a busy kitchen.
- High standards of cleanliness, organisation and food presentation.
- A willingness to learn, improve and help develop the food offering as the business grows.
Essential requirements
- Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Up-to-date Allergen Awareness Training.
- Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods.
Your responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking high-quality brunch, lunch and evening dishes.
- Maintaining excellent food quality and consistency.
- Supporting menu development with fresh ideas and seasonal specials.
- Ensuring food hygiene and allergen procedures are always followed.
- Managing stock, reducing waste and keeping the kitchen organised.
- Working closely with the management team to help grow Serve's food offering.
