We are seeking an organised and detail orientated Office Administrator to join our Steel Fabrication at Powell & Co Construction Ltd. As an Office Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day to day operations in providing administrative support to our Steel team. You will be responsible for the flow of information and documentation between the Shobdon Facility and our Kingsland Head Office, and customers where required.
Experience in office administration is essential, and we are looking for an individual who is open to learning and furthering themselves and the role. The successful candidate will be committed to providing comprehensive administrative support.
Main Responsibilities:
· Answering the telephones, take messages and directing enquiries to the appropriate person.
· Print drawings for new fabrication jobs
· Prepare fabrication sheets
· Place purchase orders for workshop materials
· Sales order administration
· Maintenance of the steel fabrication workplan
· Compilation of paint records
· Maintenance of job files
· Scanning and filing documentation
o Delivery notes
o Job sheets
· CIL entry & follow up for the Shobdon facility
· Preparation of documentation for UKCA / Audits
· Perform any other reasonable requests and duties and required by the business
Essential Skills:
· Proven experience as an Office Administrator, or similar role
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software
· Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
· Hold at least GCSE - Grade 4 / C (or equivalent) in English and Math
