By getting to know each resident, their interests and life stories, you’ll deliver events that truly enrich their lives and ensure they stay connected with their community.
Motivate colleagues to support events in the home, you’ll also be responsible for actively promoting activities in the community and encourage family and friends to become involved.
Monitor and control the home’s activities resources and keep up to date with the necessary paperwork ensuring all activities are organised within a given budget.
To plan a range of varied and stimulating activities on a monthly basis and display a monthly activities diary in a prominent place within the Home.
To assist each Resident to maximise their independence within their own personal limitations, having due regard for their privacy and dignity.
To plan outings and excursions for Residents having due regard for Health & Safety and the nursing needs of each Resident
To plan and attend any functions requested by the Manager such as garden parties or fund-raising events.
To compile Social Care Plans and record participation in social activities / events on the appropriate record sheet within the individual care plan.
To participate in Resident’s meetings if requested to do so by the Manager
To help coordinate day to day activities for residents and promote marketing for the home.
You must be able to communicate well both verbally and non verbally in order to meet various needs of the residents and liaise with relatives and the community.
You must be adaptable, flexible and have a good imagination.
