Salary: £31,000 – £40,000 per year + Annual Salary Increments

The Role
In this hybrid/home-based role, you will recruit, assess, support, and supervise a dedicated group of foster carers across Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carer Support: Provide reflective and creative supervision to foster parents, inspiring them and their young people to reach their full potential.
- Assessments: Undertake comprehensive Form F Assessments and present reports to the fostering panel as required.
- Training & Development: Assist in developing and running foster carer support groups, and actively deliver pre- and post-approval training.
- Wrap-Around Care: Participate in a shared out-of-hours on-call rota to ensure our foster families always have support when they need it.
- Service Growth: Actively contribute to the development, compliance, and growth of our fostering service.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Registrations:
- Education: A valid professional qualification in Social Work (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent).
- Registration: Current and active registration with Social Work England (SWE).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of post-qualified experience within a fostering-related role or an associated child social care setting (e.g., Looked After Children/LAC team).
- Transport: Access to a car and a full, valid UK driving licence for community visits.
Core Knowledge & Attributes:
- Strong, working knowledge of Fostering Regulations, National Minimum Standards, Childcare Law, and Safeguarding issues.
- Ability to make objective, evidence-based professional assessments of children and young people.
- A reflective, solution-focused, and highly organized approach to managing your caseload.
