About Us
The Dress Cleaning Company is one of the UK's leading specialists in the professional cleaning, restoration and preservation of wedding dresses and occasion wear. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service and treating every dress with the utmost care and attention.
We're looking for a highly organised, proactive and customer-focused Admin & Operations Executive to join our growing team.
The Role
This is a varied, full-time role at the heart of our business, combining customer service, administration and operational coordination. You'll manage customer orders from collection through to return, ensuring every customer receives an outstanding experience.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage customer emails and telephone enquiries.
· Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
· Arrange customer collections and deliveries with our trusted courier partners.
· Update Shopify throughout each stage of the customer journey (full training provided).
· Track orders and maintain accurate customer records.
· Oversee the diagnostics process by unpacking dresses, carrying out initial visual inspections, photographing garments and communicating findings with customers.
· Liaise with customers regarding the diagnostics results and any additional work identified.
· Work closely with our sister alterations company to ensure a seamless customer experience.
· Coordinate with the production team to help ensure dresses progress smoothly through each stage of the cleaning and preservation process.
· Support general administration and identify opportunities to improve operational processes.
· This role does include some physical elements. You will be required to unpack, handle and inspect wedding dresses as part of the diagnostics process. Wedding dresses can be heavy, particularly those with large skirts, trains, multiple layers or detailed embellishments, so candidates should be comfortable with some manual handling and being on their feet during parts of the working day.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
· Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
· Friendly, professional and customer focused.
· Confident managing multiple tasks and priorities.
· A strong communicator, both written and verbal.
· Comfortable using computer systems and learning new software.
· Proactive with a positive, can-do attitude.
Previous administration, customer service or operations experience is essential. Experience with Shopify would be an advantage, although full training will be provided.
