Job title: Nursery Cook
Accountable to: Nursery Manager
Hours of duty: 20 hours per week
Perform his/her duties in line with Willow Nurseries ethos, philosophy and vision, as well as the policies and procedures, including Food Safety and Catering, Health and Safety at Work and safeguarding children.
Main Duties
To prepare, cook and serve lunch and tea in accordance with planned recipes to deliver Willow Nurseries nutritionally balanced menus.
To promote the safety and good health of children by ensuring that children’s individual dietary needs are met including allergies, intolerances and parental preferences and safe food cutting guidance.
To implement Safer Food Better Business procedures and complete all necessary paperwork to meet the requirements of Environmental Health and the Early Years Foundation Stage
To comply with the safeguarding procedures.
To communicate effectively with team to gather information regarding the changing needs of babies and children in line with their age and stage of development.
To lead inspections from the Environmental Health Agency and other outside agencies when necessary.
To maintain a high standard of hygiene in the kitchen
Expectations
To undertake other duties and responsibilities determined by the Manager, in consultation with yourself.
To participate in any training, as the participant or the trainer, in relation to the duties of your post.
To provide cover at other sites if needed
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
Experience:
